1. Purpose of this notice
This Candidate Consent Notice explains how ACG Corporate Group (Pty) Ltd, trading as ACG Growth Partners™ (“ACG”), processes the personal information of candidates and applicants. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and POPIA Notice. By submitting a candidate registration or application and ticking the consent box, you confirm your agreement to this notice.
2. What you consent to
By registering or applying, you confirm that you:
- have read and accept the Privacy Policy and this Candidate Consent Notice;
- consent to ACG processing and storing your personal information for recruitment purposes;
- authorise ACG to share your information with prospective employers where appropriate; and
- understand that your information may be retained for future suitable opportunities.
3. Information we process
We may process your identity and contact details, CV, qualifications, employment history, remuneration, notice period, references, regulatory status (including RE5, Class of Business and FAIS history), role preferences, transferable assets under management and any documents you provide.
4. Verification and screening
Where relevant to a role and permitted by law, we may conduct reference, employment, qualification, regulatory and other authorised checks. We will seek appropriate authority before introducing you to a prospective employer.
5. Sharing with employers
Your information will not ordinarily be shared with a prospective employer without your authority and the context of a relevant opportunity. We share only what is reasonably necessary for the recruitment process.
6. Retention
We retain candidate information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide recruitment services, to consider you for future suitable opportunities, and to meet legal and business-record obligations. You may ask us to update or delete your information at any time, subject to lawful retention requirements.
7. Your rights
You may request access to your information, request correction or deletion, object to processing on reasonable grounds, withdraw consent, opt out of direct marketing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully carried out.
