Recruitment & candidate information
When a person applies for a vacancy, provides a CV, responds to an ACG approach or engages with ACG regarding employment opportunities, ACG may process the information for recruitment-related purposes. This can include assessing suitability, communicating about opportunities, coordinating interviews, facilitating offers, managing client introductions and maintaining appropriate recruitment records.
Where a candidate has agreed to be contacted about other opportunities, ACG may consider the candidate for suitable future mandates, subject to applicable law and the candidate's rights. ACG does not guarantee an interview, employment offer or appointment.
Application and registration forms carry their own notices and consents at the point of submission. The full terms are in the Candidate Consent Notice.
Advisory books, AUM, acquisitions & succession
ACG Growth Partners™ facilitates confidential discussions relating to advisory-book and practice acquisitions, adviser transitions, assets-under-management opportunities, succession planning, retirement-driven exits and related business-growth transactions.
Information in these matters may be commercially sensitive. ACG may anonymise identifying information during preliminary evaluation and may use controlled disclosure processes, confidentiality requirements and seller or buyer qualification before introductions are made.
Preliminary opportunity information may be based on information supplied by sellers, advisers, clients or other parties and may not have been independently audited or verified. Prospective parties remain responsible for their own legal, regulatory, financial, tax, compliance and commercial due diligence before concluding a transaction.
Confidentiality & sharing
ACG may share information with prospective employers, candidates, buyers, sellers, professional advisers, service providers, technology providers, accountants, auditors, legal advisers, regulators or other parties where the sharing is necessary, authorised or required by law.
Confidential or commercially sensitive information should be used only for the purpose for which it was supplied and should not be copied, distributed or disclosed without appropriate authority.
Cross-border processing
Some recruitment, advisory or transaction opportunities, and some technology providers, may involve processing or storage outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa, ACG will seek to apply the requirements and safeguards of POPIA and other applicable law.
The website is served from international hosting infrastructure, and website form submissions are delivered to ACG mailboxes hosted in South Africa. The current technology and data-flow position is summarised under Cookies & tracking.
Security & retention
ACG takes reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against loss, damage, unauthorised access, unlawful processing, destruction or disclosure. No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Personal information should be retained only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, applicable legal or regulatory requirements, appropriate business records or the protection of legitimate legal interests. Information that is no longer required should be securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified where appropriate.
Documents attached to a website application — a CV or supporting document — are sent to the relevant ACG mailbox and are not retained on the website's servers.
Data-subject rights
Subject to applicable law, a data subject may ask whether ACG holds personal information about them, request access, request correction or deletion where appropriate, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and raise concerns or complaints.
Privacy requests should be directed to ACG using the details under Contact. Data subjects may also have recourse to the Information Regulator (South Africa), whose details appear under Regulatory sources.
Direct marketing & business communications
ACG may send service, recruitment, transaction or relationship communications where they are necessary for an existing interaction or another lawful purpose. Marketing communications are handled in accordance with POPIA and any applicable guidance, including the rules applicable to unsolicited electronic communications.
Where consent is required for direct marketing, that consent is requested separately from the acknowledgements needed to process an enquiry or application, and is never pre-selected. Transactional or service communications are not treated as marketing merely because they are sent electronically.
Cookies & tracking
This website is deliberately light on third-party technology. As at the date of this page, the site does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, advertising pixels, embedded video, embedded maps or externally hosted fonts. Typefaces and animation libraries are served from ACG's own domain rather than a third-party CDN.
As at the date of this page the website sets no cookies of its own. The only thing stored in your browser is your cookie choice, kept in local storage so the panel does not ask you again. The technologies actually in use are:
| Technology | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Website hosting and delivery (Vercel) | Serving the website and its form endpoints; standard server and request logs | Strictly necessary |
| Consent preference storage | Remembers your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so you are not asked again | Strictly necessary |
| Form abuse protection | Limits how many submissions one connection may make, and discards automated ones. Uses no cookie and stores nothing in your browser | Strictly necessary |
| Cloudflare Turnstile (where enabled) | Distinguishes people from automated submissions on forms, as an alternative to a CAPTCHA that profiles the visitor | Strictly necessary |
| Email delivery of form submissions | Sends your enquiry or application to the relevant ACG mailbox and sends you a confirmation | Strictly necessary |
| Book Value Estimator record (hosted PostgreSQL database) | Stores the inputs, the result and the disclaimer acceptance for each estimate, as the audit record for a figure ACG has provided | Strictly necessary |
If analytics or marketing technologies are introduced, they will remain switched off until consent is given through the cookie panel, and this section will be updated before they are deployed. You can review or change your choice at any time using the control, also available in the footer of every page. Full detail is in the Cookie Policy.
Third-party websites & platforms
ACG emails and website pages may link to third-party websites, platforms, scheduling tools, social networks or service providers. ACG is not responsible for the independent privacy or security practices of third parties, and users should review the relevant third-party terms and notices where appropriate.
Email communications disclaimer
Emails sent by ACG Corporate Group (Pty) Ltd, ACG Growth Partners™ or their representatives may contain confidential or legally privileged information intended for the named recipient. If received in error, the recipient should notify the sender and delete the email and attachments.
Unless expressly stated in a signed mandate or other written agreement, email content should not be interpreted as financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, a formal valuation opinion, a guarantee of employment, a guarantee of candidate appointment, or a binding offer to acquire or dispose of an advisory practice, client book or other asset.
Recruitment & transaction non-reliance
Candidate, adviser, seller, buyer, AUM, revenue, provider, valuation or other commercial information may originate from third parties. ACG may conduct preliminary checks, but unless expressly stated otherwise, such information has not necessarily been independently verified or audited.
Client relationships, assets, policies, revenue streams, provider relationships, employment outcomes and transaction benefits are not guaranteed to transfer or continue. Formal relationships remain subject to the relevant signed recruitment agreement, acquisition mandate, confidentiality agreement, terms of business or transaction documents.
Intellectual property & updates
The ACG Growth Partners™ name, branding, written materials, seller profiles, templates, graphics and other proprietary content may be protected by intellectual-property rights and may not be copied or commercially exploited without appropriate authorisation.
ACG may update this Legal & Privacy Notice as its services, technology, legal requirements or processing activities change. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version.
