Role overview
The client is a Mauritius-based fiduciary and corporate services provider, administering global business companies, trusts and other corporate structures for an international client base.
The Corporate and Trust Administrator handles the incorporation and day-to-day administration of those structures, working across multiple jurisdictions and dealing directly with regulators, registrars and professional advisers. It is an opportunity to build a career in the fiduciary and financial services industry with genuine multi-jurisdictional exposure from early on.
The practice is open to motivated graduates as well as candidates with one to two years’ experience in the sector.
Key responsibilities
- Incorporate and administer global business companies, trusts and other corporate structures on a day-to-day basis.
- Prepare and maintain statutory registers, minutes and resolutions.
- Conduct client due diligence (KYC and CDD) in line with AML and CFT requirements.
- Liaise with regulators, registrars and professional advisers across jurisdictions.
- Manage correspondence and day-to-day administration for a portfolio of clients.
- Support compliance monitoring and statutory filings.
Minimum requirements
- A degree in Law, Management, Finance, Banking or a related field.
- One to two years’ experience in the global business or fiduciary sector, or a motivated fresh graduate.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A good understanding of AML and CFT requirements and the regulatory frameworks that apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Mauritian citizenship and residence in Mauritius, as required for the role.
Preferred qualifications
- ICSA or STEP part-qualification.
- Prior exposure to multi-jurisdictional corporate or trust structures.
Skills and competencies
- Accurate preparation and maintenance of statutory records.
- Disciplined client due diligence and file management.
- Confident liaison with regulators, registrars and professional advisers.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and keep correspondence and filings current.
Personal attributes
A motivated, detail-oriented team player with high ethical standards and a professional manner. The practice is looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career across the fiduciary and financial services industry rather than fill a single seat.
Who this suits
A recent graduate in law, management, finance or banking looking for a first role in fiduciary services, or an administrator with a year or two in the global business sector who wants broader multi-jurisdictional exposure.
Remuneration and working arrangements
MUR 30,000 to MUR 40,000 gross per month, based on experience. Permanent, full-time appointment based in Ebène, Mauritius. Candidates must be Mauritian citizens and resident in Mauritius.
