ACG Growth Partners™ is recruiting on behalf of an established independent short-term insurance brokerage in Umhlanga Ridge for an experienced Property Insurance Administrator.

The successful candidate will join a close-knit brokerage team servicing a broad range of clients and insurance portfolios. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced short-term insurance administrator who enjoys client interaction and policy administration, and who works well in a professional brokerage environment where accuracy, service and turnaround times are critical.

The position is fully office-based and reports directly to the Branch Manager. The client is seeking an early start but is prepared to wait for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Administration and servicing of existing short-term insurance policies.
• Processing policy amendments and endorsements.
• Managing renewals and related policy documentation.
• Liaising with insurers regarding policy administration and servicing requirements.
• Liaising directly with clients regarding policy matters and service requests.
• Maintaining accurate and complete client and policy records.
• Following up on outstanding documentation and insurer requirements.
• Administration across a combination of property and short-term insurance portfolios.
• Supporting commercial, residential and sectional-title related insurance administration where applicable.
• Ensuring client instructions are processed accurately and within strict turnaround times.
• Maintaining appropriate FAIS and FICA compliance documentation.
• Providing professional administrative support to the brokerage and its clients.

Minimum requirements

• A minimum of three to five years’ short-term insurance brokerage experience.
• Practical experience working within a brokerage environment.
• Strong short-term insurance administration experience.
• Experience dealing directly with both insurers and clients.
• Sound knowledge of policy servicing, renewals and endorsements.
• A good understanding of short-term insurance processes.
• Strong administration and organisational ability.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work within strict turnaround times.
• The ability to manage multiple client and administrative requirements simultaneously.
• The ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team.

Preferred qualifications

The following are advantageous rather than required:

• FAIS-related experience and compliance knowledge.
• Relevant insurance-specific qualifications.
• RE5, where applicable.
• Other recognised short-term insurance qualifications.
