Compliance & Operations Analyst

Role overview

Foundation Family Wealth is a premium financial-planning practice serving high-net-worth individuals and families across South Africa. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a highly analytical and technology-driven Compliance & Operations Analyst to work directly alongside the Head of Compliance and Operations.

This is not an administrative role. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening compliance execution, automating operational workflows and using AI and technology to improve business efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Compliance implementation

• Support day-to-day compliance monitoring and execution.
• Maintain compliance registers and documentation.
• Monitor FAIS, FICA, POPIA and Treating Customers Fairly obligations.
• Track regulatory deadlines and submissions.
• Assist with Fit and Proper requirements and Key Individual obligations.
• Liaise with outsourced compliance providers.
• Coordinate compliance documentation and training.

Compliance and risk automation

• Build AI-assisted compliance monitoring tools.
• Develop automated workflow solutions.
• Implement compliance and risk dashboards.
• Improve document review and exception reporting.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes.
• Design smarter operational controls.

Operational workflow

• Map and improve business processes.
• Support operational documentation.
• Assist with reporting automation.
• Improve workflow efficiency across the business.

Minimum requirements

• BCom degree — Honours completed or in progress preferred.
• Financial Planning or BCom Law advantageous.
• Approximately three to five years’ experience in financial-services compliance, operations or workflow management.
• Working knowledge of FAIS, FICA, POPIA and Treating Customers Fairly.
• Experience improving business processes through technology or automation.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• AI and automation experience highly advantageous.
