Financial Fitness is a well-established independent financial advisory business based in Bryanston, Sandton. The firm has operated for more than 30 years and has built a strong reputation for ethical advice, long-term client relationships and high professional standards.
This is a junior advisory role suited to a developing financial planner who wants to build a long-term career in a professional independent advice practice. The successful candidate will operate in a direct client-facing capacity with prospective and existing clients, providing holistic financial planning support in line with FAIS and all relevant South African financial services legislation.
The role combines new business development with client servicing. The business may allocate an existing client portfolio at its discretion, creating the opportunity to develop advisory confidence while growing a sustainable client base.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new clients through networking, referrals, relationship-building and proactive business development.
- Maintain and service an allocated client portfolio, delivering a high standard of ongoing advice and client care.
- Conduct detailed needs analyses covering client goals, financial circumstances, risk appetite and planning priorities.
- Develop tailored financial plans and present appropriate investment, risk and planning solutions.
- Provide ongoing advice and support to existing clients, including follow-up discussions, reviews and implementation guidance.
- Maintain accurate, complete and compliant client records in line with internal procedures and FAIS requirements.
- Stay current with changes in legislation, financial products, market developments and best-practice advisory standards.
- Work collaboratively with internal team members and support functions to ensure a seamless client experience.
Minimum requirements
- BCom degree in Finance or a related field.
- Successful completion of the RE5 examination as required by FAIS legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Strong organisational skills and sound time management ability.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
