Role overview
Anchor Capital is seeking an experienced Risk and Insurance Adviser to provide specialist risk-management and insurance advice to individual clients, high-net-worth individuals, business owners and corporate decision-makers.
The successful candidate will assess clients’ personal and business risks and recommend suitable long-term insurance and risk-management solutions, with a strong focus on business assurance, key-person insurance, buy-and-sell agreements, shareholder protection, contingent liability cover, estate planning, life and disability insurance, severe illness cover, income protection and high-net-worth personal risk planning.
This is a client-facing advisory position requiring the credibility to engage sophisticated private clients, entrepreneurs, business owners, executives and larger corporate organisations. It is not suited to a purely administrative insurance professional.
The client has confirmed a salary range of approximately R30,000 to R50,000 per month depending on experience and capability. Once the adviser exceeds the applicable salary underpin, commission earnings are uncapped.
This is an Employment Equity position, with preference for suitably qualified B-BBEE candidates.

- Generate new business through referrals, professional networks and centres of influence, and manage applications from submission through to implementation.
- Manage and service an allocated client portfolio, conducting regular reviews and maintaining proactive client communication.
- Support clients through claims notification, documentation and insurer liaison.
- Maintain FAIS fit-and-proper status, current CPD records, complete Records of Advice and audit-ready client files.
